Data ETL Software Engineer

The Data ETL Software Engineer will help drive the design and implementation of M-Factor’s technology enabled services.   Successful candidates will have experience with data analysis, Java and Database technologies.  This position will help bridge the gap between Engineering and Solutions teams, so strong communications and teamwork skills are very important. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement product database infrastructure
  • Work closely with engineering and solutions staff to develop and tools and processes to support client projects
  • Use automated tests and other techniques to ensure product quality


Requirements:

  • Experience with data analysis, SQL and Database technologies
  • Programming experience with Java, C++, C# or other OO languages
  • A willingness to adopt agile development practices, including short iterations, user stories, continuous integration, shared ownership, and test-driven development
  • Proven communications and teamwork skills
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Principal place of work will in the M-Factor offices in San Mateo, CA

 

Additional Skills Desired:

  • Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Pentaho, SSIS or DataStage
  • OLAP, Reporting and DataWarehousing Experience
