M-Factor Establishes Marketing Science Council with Academic Leaders Rao, Rossi, and Bronnenberg   May. 21, 2007

SAN MATEO, Calif. – M-Factor, Inc. (www.m-factor.com),  the premier provider of marketing investment management solutions that helps leading consumer marketing organizations maximize their return on investment, today announced the establishment of a Marketing Science Council. Founding members include Vithala Rao, Peter Rossi, and Bart Bronnenberg. This esteemed group of academic leaders in the fields of marketing science, econometrics and statistical analysis will directly support M-Factor and their clients.

Vithala R. Rao is the Deane Malott Professor of Management and Professor of Marketing and Quantitative Methods, Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University. He has written more than 100 papers on conjoint analysis and multidimensional scaling for the analysis of consumer preferences and perceptions and on the strategic issues of market structure, acquisition, and brand equity. Professor Rao teaches courses in brand management immersion, marketing research, marketing models, marketing strategy, and doctoral courses in quantitative marketing models.

Peter E. Rossi is the Joseph T. and Bernice S. Lewis Professor of Marketing and Statistics Professor of Marketing and Statistics at the Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago. He is fellow of the American Statistical Association and has published more than 40 articles in refereed journals on marketing, economics, statistics, and econometrics. Dr. Rossi’s areas of research interest include pricing and promotion, target marketing, direct marketing, micromarketing, limited dependent variable models, and Bayesian statistical methods.

Bart J. Bronnenberg is a Professor of Marketing in the UCLA Anderson School of Management, in Los Angeles, where he teaches courses on marketing strategy and market assessment. He has published extensively in refereed journals on marketing. Professor Bronnenberg does research in marketing strategy, the geographic organizations of markets, and local branding.
